Reading order
Read the lessons in order. The first three are classical: Paulsen's theorem and the implementation of derivations; the noncommutative little Grothendieck inequality with its row, column and cyclic consequences; and Kirchberg's passage from bounds for inner derivations to similarity. The fourth develops words in free subalgebras. The fifth to seventh prove the free corner estimate: invariant tensors and the word structure, propagation from small corners, and the Hankel test. The eighth transfers the estimate to II_1 factors, the ninth proves the uniform commutator estimate for all von Neumann algebras, and the tenth draws the consequences: derivations are inner, Kadison's similarity theorem and universal hyperreflexivity.
