Reading and languages

The Courses page opens the lesson catalogue hosted here. Other entries normally link to an external HTML reader, PDF, edition page or source repository. Links labelled “Edition and files” do not promise a finished reader.

Translations belong to the same work as their originals. Use the catalogue’s text-language filter, the language selector within a work, or the Languages index. These controls select existing texts; they do not generate translations. The site interface is currently English.

Scope and status

“Partial edition” means that the listed text does not cover the whole work. “Research / working draft” identifies developing research or exposition, not an established result. “Reader linked” means that a reading link is provided; it does not certify completeness, mathematical correctness, source fidelity or human review. An edition page may contain multiple formats and separately identified editorial versions.

The catalogue is based on public GitHub repositories and their edition indexes, checked on 24 October 2026. It is not a live guarantee that every external file or draft is current. A repository can contain several works, while one work can span several repositories. Source mirrors and technical repositories are not counted as new books. Private holdings and unpublished drafts are not offered as public editions.

Authorship and rights

Historical authors, human translators and other inherited contributors retain their credit. AI-created lessons, AI-translated additions, AI-transcribed text and AI-produced corrections are distinct contributions; AI use does not erase the authorship of reused human work. Consult each edition’s notices for exact contributors, source versions and scope.

There is no site-wide public-domain or reuse grant. Some historical originals are in the public domain; that does not establish rights in every translation, edition or component. Linked works retain their own licences and notices. Free access and inclusion in this catalogue do not establish permission for derivative publication.
