# The forced Navier–Stokes blowup argument

An independent lesson series on the smooth-force, finite-time blowup construction in OpenAI’s *Finite Time Blowup for Navier–Stokes*. The theorem retains every positive viscosity, zero initial velocity, smooth compact space–time forcing, bounded kinetic energy, compact spatial support before time one, and the stated failure of global smooth continuation.

The [cumulative typeset reader](reader.html) contains the twenty-three complete lessons below. The [offline reader and editable sources](NS-BLOWUP-reader-and-source.zip) include all twenty-three lessons, their SVG figures, editable diagram generators and bibliography, and the local mathematical typesetting runtime. The complete mathematical proof notes are included as well; cited original papers remain external references. The twenty-three main lessons contain 115 fully solved exercises. Two appendix lessons on Navier–Stokes connections to vacuum gravity add ten solved exercises and are included in the offline download.

## The theorem and its prerequisites

N1–N7 construct the profiles, coefficients, base field, pulses, mean corrections, finite correction cycle, convergent field and compact terminal force. The final lesson proves the whole-space theorem and its periodic corollary, together with stability for different initial data, the full viscosity and compression maps, and small integrated force at a fixed singular time. N8.1 gives a computation theorem with an exact recorder, geometric processor, spatial clock and stationary force. N8.2 proves computation with rapidly decreasing forcing, including the limiting flow. N8.3 proves detection in the velocity itself, using torus bursts and expanding transport regions.

The fluid foundations supply the preceding analysis. The lessons give precise source and proof locators for the human smooth-forcing programme and for each supplying construction.

## Sources and rights

[SOURCES.json](SOURCES.json) gives the bibliography and mathematical source locators. The [radial phase and potential conventions](SOURCE_SCAN_CHECK.md) give the original expressions and their coordinate derivations. Diplomatic transcriptions preserve OpenAI’s text; the arguments and exercises here are separate mathematical exposition. Authored text and figures in the twenty-three main lessons are CC0. The appendix source files retain their own attribution and notices. Original sources retain their attribution and rights; MathJax retains its included software and font licenses.

## Appendix: Navier–Stokes connections to vacuum gravity

The first appendix constructs exact vacuum constraint data from a smooth compact incompressible velocity snapshot and recovers the velocity. It applies to the forced fluid construction before its singular time. The second derives a separate linear gravitational shear response with a Navier–Stokes limit and positive wave energy. These connections do not prove a gravitational singularity or a gravitational continuation through fluid blowup.
